PJ Gibbs

Coach Gibbs just completed his 24th season of coaching in New Jersey and Florida.

Coach Gibbs coached 14 years in New Jersey, mostly at his alma mater Manasquan High School, coaching all three defensive positions and becoming the Defensive Coordinator in 2011.  Gibbs moved to Florida in 2015 starting his career at Gulf Coast High School in Naples and helping lead the team to their first District Title in 2016.  Gibbs defense was the #1 Ranked Defense in SW FL this year allowing 6.9 Points per game

Gibbs then spent 3 seasons at Palmetto Ridge, helping lead the team to a historical 2020 Season, winning their 1st CCAC Championship in school, setting a record for wins in a season (9) and winning the program's 1st playoff games in school history. 

In 2021, Coach Gibbs became the Head Coach of East Lee County HS, taking over a team that was 0-27. Using the Fast & Physical Defense the team won 4 games including a shutout in their rivalry game against Gateway High School. 

Gibbs stepped down as HC and became the DC at Golden Gate HS.  In 2023, the Golden Gate Defense improved in one season going from 31 points per game given up to 19 points per game, using the Fast and Physical 3 Safety Defense. 

Coach has been a part of multiple Division and State Championship teams in NJ. Coach Gibbs is a Master Trainer and US National Team Coach for USA Football, having been a Head Coach for both U17 USA Teams (2018 and 2019) and the U17 Japanese Team (2020). Winning all three International Bowl Championships as the Head Coach in AT&T Stadium.
